Private Coaching Staff

THOMAS GARNER
Thomas Garner is a professional Actor, Private Coach for Auditions and specifically teaches The Lyndon Technique from the ground up.

Originally a Theatre Major from Maryland, Thomas came to LA over 20 years ago to continue his studies and quickly became a working Actor. It was on the step of The Los Angeles Theatre Center that he met Amy Lyndon many years ago and they became fast friends. So, while learning the ropes of “The Business,” he decided to join forces with Amy and owned

and operated the very successful Gold/Levin Talent for 10 years - and was directly responsible for creating very successful careers.

In 2004, Thomas decided to focus solely on his Acting, Writing and Art - and quickly Produced, Directed and Starred in a Musical he wrote. As the show closed and Amy’s classes were busting at the seams, she asked him to teach the technique that he knew so well. What began as intriguing fun quickly became a passion as he taught two 8-week courses for Amy and took over her Private Coaching Business.

As 2008 roles in, Thomas is a full-time Lyndon Technique Teacher, Private Audition Coach, AND working Actor.

MICHELLE TOMLINSON
Michelle Tomlinson discovered her love for acting when she was attending Eastern New Mexico University. With a background saturated in Video Productions, she took an acting class on a whim to see what it would be like. She was instantly hooked. She did several plays at ENMU including The Odd Couple and Frankie and Johnny. Upon graduation, she made the next logical move and came to Los Angeles to pursue acting on a broader level.

Upon her arrival, Michelle worked several different Production and Post-Production jobs to learn more about the Film Industry while studying acting. She studied the Strasberg Technique for a little over a year and took Commercial Classes with Carolyne Barry. She then moved into an intense Scene Study Class taught by the Adler Master, Arthur Mendoza. After studying for a cumulative 6 years (including college) everything on a creative level was starting to click for Michelle, but she hadn’t been fully introduced to “the biz.”

As luck would have it, she finally came upon Amy Lyndon to work with her in the office. Michelle quickly learned everything she could about not only Amy’s 15 Guideline Technique to Booking, but also about approaching acting as a business. The more she learned, the more she booked. Not unlike many of the actors out there, Michelle had the tools she needed to act, but not how to book. She found the 15 Guidelines to be nothing short of revolutionary for her own career. Amy took notice of this and asked Michelle to start teaching students privately so they too could get a better handle on Amy’s Technique.

Michelle currently has three Feature Films she either stars in or plays leads in exploding on the Festival Circuit. One of those films, The Cellar Door, opens in Theatres in 2008.

Not in a million years would she have booked them (or the 16+ other films in two and a half years) without having worked with Amy and her technique and knowing what she was doing in the audition space.

Michelle has been working with Amy for three and a half years and thoroughly enjoys working as an actor and helping other actors find their paths in the maze that is Hollywood.
