Thank you for the Lyndon Technique. I bought the book and now I'm hooked! As you may know, I have joined TLTaccess.com and it's really put a spring in my step. Thank you for all that you are doing for the acting and entertainment community around the world. I live in and work in Philadelphia and New York. God bless you!

Amy - you are AWESOME! Thank you so much for helping Justin get to where he is today, without your fantastic teaching methods, The Lyndon Technique, and your amazing coaching, we'd probably be back in Colorado instead of booking jobs! Not only do you have a superb and successful teaching method - you also really care about your clients! Thank you for EVERYTHING you have helped us with. YOU ROCK!

My ambition has ignited like never before to be who I am supposed to be in this industry. Reading and responding to the few questions from the 4 Week Booking Kit has already begun to center me, and it fuels my drive for this. It is vital we remember why we do this. Why I wake up at 5am to serve coffee so I have my days free for auditions and ready for bookings. Why I wake up more motivated each day knowing I'm another step closer to working more as an actress. I know you understand the passion that jolts our reasons for turning around what can be known as "the monotony" of this industry to "the motivation" to press through and win. I am so blessed to have found you all at TLT.

Matthew booked an important role in the feature film "Bad Teacher" with Cameron Diaz this past week. The audition skills he learned from you made a significant contribution to his success! I highly recommend your classes and coaching sessions to anyone who is serious about a career in film or TV!

I was telling my friends about your technique and how I swear by it. I've booked everything I've auditioned for in the last 10 months thanks to your technique. You're some kind of genius. Thank you!

Just wanted to take a moment to say how thankful I am to have met you. You have helped me tremendously not only with my acting but with confidence as well. I can't tell you the great feedback I have been receiving, especially in comedy. I notice how much of myself / personality I'm bringing into a scene, and making it less about the words. Your technique has helped me understand sides tremendously and your teaching and support has helped me take more risks and grow as an actor.

I honestly cannot say enough about Amy Lyndon. One of my biggest issues (and probably for other actors as well) was WHAT AM I SELLING, but after working with Amy privately, she has helped and directed me on turning my "C package into an A package." This has in return, given me the confidence and knowledge I need to get representation and BOOK! AMY is AMAZING!
Mychal Thompson |
|
I continue to be your HUGE fan! Your energy and passion and knowledge is awesome! And, you care! If everyone giving classes in this business were as right on and passionate as you are, it would be a lot easier for actors to 'GET THE JOB" when they audition.
Cathy Henderson - Martin, CSA |

Amy and her technique have taken my actors to a deeper level of acting and auditioning. She is also an asset to have in their corner because of her positive and real nature. She always says it as it is and pushes them to their full potential. I am grateful for all of her hard work and dedication to her actors.

I hope your flight back to LA-la-land was great! Thank you so much for coming to Canada, and sharing all of your insight and wisdom with us. I have never learned so much in one class. Thank you for pushing me to see the forest for the trees! You are amazing!!!! I am so excited about my career!!!!

|
Pardon my language but holy sh*t your book is amazing!!! I already listened to all your audio stuff... I am in agreement with all! This is all a great combo of my previous training in NYC and in LA. My fav rules are #3, 10, and 12. I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon all this.

I wasted a lot of time. Your class is the most effective class I know. I'm glad you exist to give actors a chance at succeeding. You've impacted my life.

Just came back from another audition and I am on fire. Amy, you are a Godsend. I carry your book with me everywhere I go and it's the perfect How To Book to go out and nail every audition. Now whether I get the job or not, I don't care because I know they'll remember me regardless. I have never felt so on top of my game and confident in my craft. Taking your classes and having your book have been the best things that have happened in my career. I leave no step uncovered, come in, do my job, and get the hell out.

Amy... what can I say? You know it when you just know it. There is no question you're my kind of teacher and business professional. Not only do your skills and qualifications speak volumes... but also your personality and style complete the deal. I'm glad I'm here. "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear" I AM READY!!!

Amy Lyndon is without a doubt one of the most effective teachers out there. Her 15 Guideline Map To Booking Technique, should be like a front door key, never leave home without it, as it's the key to booking. Her work and reputation is widely appreciated by International actors that fly into LA to train with Amy. Many have booked and commented that they have seen a massive increase in their booking ratio since studying The Lyndon Technique.
Richard Burke - London Producer - Industry Hollywood |

Thank you for your encouraging words, always. I feel like I have grown so much in just the last year and a half that I have studied with you. Your words have really allowed me to be okay with letting go - and that is so important! I love your class, Amy. You're the best.
Angie Light |
|
I truly loved listening to the lectures! How amazing that a recording of a class can be so empowering, straight talking and inspirational! I just wish I could have listened to all of your lectures as soon as I left Drama School!

Just wanted to say you are phenomenal cold reading coach and a truly authentic person. Just what I was looking for in a cold reading coach!
Caro Moreno |
|
Seeing what you get out of your students in such a short time is amazing to watch. I am not just saying this, but your class and the environment you have created is the first I have found in LA to allow me to be free to just focus on the work and not feel nerves. I have audited quite a few!
Valmike Rampersad |
|
You have given me the tools to not only 'nail' the audition but also how to run myself as a business and get the auditions in the first place! I feel on top of my game and can't thank you enough. I now have a number of 'secret weapons' that will put me ahead of everyone else in the casting room! Please, Please, Please come over to the UK!
Jenna - United Kingdom |

I am blessed to be in such an informative and educational class with you. Everything that we talk about in class is addressed in the audition. Amy, I feel so empowered, relaxed, prepared and in control of my work.
Tenisha D. Light |

Ok. I haven't even had my 4th class with you yet, but since I started on July 19th, I've booked "The Mentalist" (shoots tomorrow), put on avail for "The Parenthood", and just an hour ago, I was put on avail for "Private Practice." I guessed I learned something, huh? ;-) THANKS, AMY!
William Christopher Stephens |

I love the way you teach! Having worked with several coaches, I realize how important it is to have a comfortable safe relationship with a person who coaches for the right reasons and from the right place. You are great at what you do and the whole experience is so positive for me.
Ashlee Gilbert |
|
I listened to all of the downloads I purchased last night... I loved it!! I definitely have detailed notes that will really help me improve with auditions and just the overall process of auditioning!! I think as actors we tend to go in with the idea to "prepare to hate this part" perspective. You really helped me to understand that if I approach it in a different way, I won't have that anxiety and I can really embrace AND actually like that part of the process! I especially like the part that focuses on when you get to the waiting room to audition -I laughed my butt off - cause I have definitely cast some people in that waiting room!!
Christy |
|
There's Shakespeare, Scene Study, Cold Reading and then there is Amy Lyndon's Booking Technique - "the final frontier" in actually getting the job. After only four classes, I booked Grey's Anatomy. Two weeks later and two more classes, I booked a feature film directed and produced by Clint Eastwood opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Change your booking ratio - change your life. I highly recommend Amy Lyndon's Booking Technique.
Roberta E. Bassin |
|
I wonder if others in your class really know the wealth of entertainment knowledge you possess, and just how fortunate we are to have you.
Sean Wilson |

I just booked the starring role -- the actual title character -- in a pilot by 20th Century Fox! The writer called me to tell me that they had more than 1500 submissions, they auditioned 150, and I was their first choice! I called my agent to tell her that they called me directly to let me know I was booked, and she said, "It's that Amy Lyndon." So thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

It is hugely important that I acknowledge the following... not only are you a fantastic acting teacher/coach, but a genuine and real-deal mentor to all of us! And that is The Double Whammy! It is so evident of how in touch you are with the careers of all of your students... Your interest and support is a tremendous source of continual inspiration! YOU are the Double Whammy Mama-Jamma!
Vikki Gurdas |

Just wanted to tell you again how valuable I find your book. It has literally become my bible for auditions and has helped me immensely. Every audition that I get, I go through every step in the book; reviewing everything I've highlighted, to make sure that I haven't missed anything. Having your process to follow has definitely increased my confidence, which in turn has increased my bookings. It's the perfect complement to your class. Thanks Amy!!
Don R. Williams |
|
First and foremost I want to say that I am really enjoying the class and I am learning so much about myself and you help keep me very motivated.... I'm not trying to kiss your ass but you're a pretty amazing woman, you have a lot of heart and I appreciate you.
Lena Bookall |
|
I can honestly say that since I started studying The Lyndon Technique I have become a booking machine. Her technique, insight and experience are immeasurable. I signed with an A list commercial agent, manager, booked Sons of Anarchy, booked the lead in a feature film, 6 (paying) films and figured out what I'm selling. Her passion and commitment to her students, and the work, is contagious.
Mike Pfaff |

AMY!!!!! I booked Criminal Minds today just like you said! I am ecstatic! Thank you for coaching me and for giving me amazing insight into the scene and character...I am on Cloud 9! Thanks to YOU!

Amy's classes are ground breaking! Once I followed her 15 Guideline Technique, my breakthrough as an actor truly began. I owe so much to this woman.

Amy, I can't tell you how grateful I am for today's coaching session. There are no words for me to express what I learned and experienced today...one thing I know is that this moment of training from you is going to be key for my success. Amy you are a GEM a true GEM and I can't thank you enough for taking the time to create this technique!!!
Theresa Layne |

Amy, I love your courses! I am not a typically fanatical person, but I was telling a friend yesterday that when I listen to your lectures I feel like jumping up and down, throwing my arms into the air and shouting, "AMEN! HALLELUJAH!" I love your no-holds-barred method of teaching! You hit the nail on the head every time. I actually get chills when I listen to you speak -- that is the true sign of inspiration! I've learned more from you than I have from all of the acting courses I have taken combined.
David Hodges |
|
For years, I have been jumping around from acting class to acting class but never felt like I was getting what I needed to book the job. I learned all sorts of techniques but nothing seemed to stick until I learned your technique. For the first time, breaking down a script is actually an enjoyable process that makes sense. Your technique has allowed me to feel confident in the audition room because for the first time I feel like I know what I'm doing.
Yee Yee Lee |

I'm back home in London and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your Business of Acting and Cold Reading Classes. You've truly helped me see auditions in a whole new light and I can't wait to test the technique. Thanks ever so much for your time, hospitality and the wonderful note you wrote me in your book (which will forever be in my handbag!)

Hey Amy! I walked away with more tools both as an artist and as a businessperson. These new, very practical tools have given me the ability to fully commit to making this path a reality. So this summer I will look into green card laws and learn the Standardized American accent, so that in the autumn I can take that leap to LA. Taking this workshop was both exciting and empowering. Thank you so much for the experience. You are amazing!
Liana Shannon |
|
Hey Amy! I just want to say that I think you and your class were the best thing that happened to my career and me. I really mean it, and I'm not just saying it, but I think you need to hear how you profound, astute and smart you are - I just think you are an unbelievable teacher and mentor.
Tony Feijoo |
|
Hi Amy, I enjoyed listening to your Audio Lecture Series and hearing you break down each topic. It gave me a lot of good ideas to think about. I absolutely love your brutally honest approach, and I jotted down many 'pearls of wisdom' from this lecture. Many thanks!
Robert Glen Decker |
|
Amy, thank you so much for taking out the time to workshop with us seniors during Aaron Sorkin Week. I found your technique practical, smart, and incredibly useful! Your technique has helped me understand the booking jobs process better and I am certain with some more practice controlling my nerves, the technique is infallible.
Jessica Bues |

I went in to read for producers for the new feature "The Bucket List" with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. In the room, Rob Reiner asked me to take a look at the sides for the Third Lead character. They handed me eight pages! After only 10 minutes they called me back in. I was able to break down the script and deliver a performance that Rob Reiner and the rest of the producers said, "wow, that was awesome. Impressive!" I finished the session feeling great, knowing I had given a wonderful audition, and as my agent confirmed for me afterwards, they were very impressed. With Amy's coaching I have developed a strong and consistent process that has certainly increased my confidence and final product! I LOVE AMY!!!!
Roy Vongtama |
|
Well long story short I got my sides and was clueless for about 15 minutes and then I said you know this, I've done this a million times so get to it... BREAK THIS SCRIPT DOWN!!!! Well, I did and I used your guidelines that I had buried in the back of my acting notebook and I ROCKED THAT AUDITION AND BOOKED IT!!!!! It was YOUR guidelines that got me ready and made me feel comfortable enough to go in that audition room and feel like I knew exactly what I was doing because I actually did know!! I just want to thank you for being a great teacher and creating the Guidelines that WILL GET YOU BOOKED!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!
Bridgette Wright |

Amy is inspirational. She cares so much about each student. She takes time to learn who they are, what they can bring to the table, and how they can improve. She creates a fear-free environment and helps people feel comfortable to grow. She has a wide breadth of knowledge about her industry, and she loves to share it and help people achieve their goals. Amy is hard working, and dedicated.

Troy got the part!!! Troy just got a call from the director of "My Life Undecided" and it's all because of you!!! Thank you!

Amy Lyndon is by far the BEST coach!! She is also a proactive working actor who goes out in the world and just doesn't teach. She is privy to every casting director, every show and does her homework and passes it on to her students. She is hard, yes.... but kind, warm, generous and so cute and funny. She NEVER makes an actor feel inadequate. She will work you till you are there at the callback. I could go on and on.
Maray Ayres |
|
Amy is an amazing teacher and her program is the ultimate actors' boot camp. She's the drill sergeant, coach, director and casting director. It's the greatest place to be challenged, tune your audition and acting muscles, learn new skills and get stronger. Always inspiring, Amy knows what she's talking about, is always right and has a wealth of knowledge about what it takes to be a working actor. Survive her class and you will be ready to actually succeed in the real world. There is nothing else like it!
A.J. Tannen |
|
Amy is the most amazing teacher I've ever had. She really helps her students not only understand the material at hand, but to understand the genre, how to make the story work the way it is written, and to have the confidence performing any role. She has helped me many times to think outside the box about ways to get into a casting office or breakdown a scene. Ever since my start with Amy's Technique, my stagnant career has taken off because she makes you set goals and holds you accountable for yourself as a self-promoting actor...she is the Jesus of Acting Coaches.
Alexis Zibolis |
|
What's up, Amy? Just want to let you know that I just booked a film called "Legacy". I can't believe I'm actually going to be getting paid to do what I love! I have to thank you and give a huge-ass hug for drilling me with comedy. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Jelani Gibson |

Thank you for everything. You are the most awesome coach in the world. You have moved me forward so much in acting. My entire approach to my entire life has changed from taking your class.
Brianna Larson |

Your advice is simply invaluable and this applies to your book as well!

Listen, I wanted to tell you the other night when I was driving away, that I have taken class EVERYWHERE in this town. EVERYWHERE. And you are by FAR my favorite coach and class. I am not just saying that, really. It is tailor-made for me. Love it.
Annette Chavez |
|
I just got the call that I booked a part in Sofia Coppola's "Mary Antoinette". I'm opposite Kirsten Dunst and Jason Shwartzman. I'm so excited!!! It shoots in Paris!!! Thanks so much!!! I couldn't have done this without your teaching. I'm really glad I went to you first for acting class. It has really paid off.
Bo Barrett |
|
You are a great teacher because you are a great example. You are specific, relentless and passionate in your own life and you expect the same from all of us. Your technique translates to all styles. I'd been doing a particular Shakespearean monologue for years. Using your technique I was able to take it to the next level, making it so much more personal and fun for me. The director and producer had a ball watching it and I booked the show! Thank you.
Jacy Gross |
|
I haven't stopped thinking about what you've helped me with. You gave me so much more to think about. This whole time, I've been working on improving my acting, without spending as much time on the business side. I forgot how to sell myself. I forgot who I was! Thank you...thank you...thank you for your generosity!
Huyen Thi |

PopStar Magazine asked Cory Hardrict if he took acting classes, he responded: "Yes I do. I have a wonderful acting coach named Amy Lyndon out of Studio City. Every Monday evening, faithfully when I am not working I am there."
Cory Hardrict |

After studying with you for only two months, I can already see a huge difference in my booking percentage. I had three auditions this past weekend and booked all of them! You're a genius
Marguerite Insolia |

I just booked my first SAG feature and they are Taft Hartlying me! Thank you for your great technique.

I booked a job on Saturday. It's a series of films that Master P is producing and directing. We already finished one, where I co-starred with his son Lil Romeo. I wasn't even nervous when I went up to audition. Thank you.
Jay Costelo |
|
I got a call saying I booked that film we worked on and it's shooting in Ireland. Thanks for your help in our privates. I definitely think our approach to the scenes were different than anyone else's. You're a smart girl Amy Lyndon!
Rick Yudt |
|
About a week ago I read in class an audition piece that I was going to audition for, last night I finally had the audition and felt very confident due to your class. My reading went great! I could not have been any happier. I walked out of that place knowing that I had the part. Today they called me and let me know that I did get the part. I received this job all because of you Amy. Thank you very much.
Ethan |
|
I just wanted to thank you for being such a wonderful teacher. I had an audition two weeks ago for an independent feature film titled "Juarez Mexico." When I went to the audition I read completely cold & applied what I've learned from you. I felt good about the audition & what's funny is that the character has a very tough scene (strong character), just like what we had started working on. I ended up not holding back & went crazy, which worked. The director loved my "intensity" is what he called it. So, we started shooting on Tuesday!
Carmen Perez |
|
I booked another feature film! It's also one of the leads. I did my thing and when I was done, the producer asked where I had been training, because she was really impressed with how calm, relaxed I was, and how I took my time to feel every moment. Those were her exact words. She also was impressed by how good I did even with the reader who didn't even look up at me once. I responded with my previous training and emphasized you and your class. So she booked me and we start shooting in January. Thank you!
Anthony Marquez |
|
I have been acting my whole life, but not until I started Amy's course have I been as confident in my abilities as I am now. I have gotten jobs and representation due to her practical and effective methods. Thank you Amy for making me a better working actor!
Walter Delmar |
|
I went straight to producers this morning at Paramount Studios. They handed me sides when I got there! No worries! Your training rocks! They kept me till it was just me and one other girl. Then they chose her. She was more Puerto Rican than me by far! And looked like the lead's sister. But I'm FUNNY! And made sure they knew that! The main producer walked me out and said, "I'm going to work you into this show. Now that I know who you are ...I can write for you." I told him awesome ...that I looked forward to working with him.
Maria Arce |
|
Amy, do you have any idea how instrumental you were in me booking this role?? Tell your class to pay close attention, your supportive words have a creative life all their own. Long ago you mentioned to me during a critique, "Who wears plaid pants like that? You're unique and brilliant at comedy!" Well, I never forgot that day and your words lived in me for the past year. Remembering your critique, this time I went to the audition as me, just me. No audition clothes, I wore my favorite britches, the plaid pants and my converse tennies. I felt unstressed and you know, as myself with which I threw in a bit of my dry wit and they loved it. At the shoot the Show Runner and Producer complimented me on being funny, that's pretty cool. There you go sister; this is a win for both of us. I couldn't have done it without you!
Channe Nolen |

I had heard the name Amy Lyndon for years in actor circles and was so happy when I got an opportunity to co-teach with her (and other leaders in entertainment) at an industry event for actors. WOW, was she amazing. She has a vast knowledge of what it takes to make it in this business and has a fresh & fun way of delivering it to her fellow actors. I particularly connect with her no-nonsense approach to taking action. Having now read her book, I also highly recommend that for actors of all levels who want to get an edge on their auditions and their work. Amy is a true leader in the acting community.
Kari Nissena |
|
My audition went well thanks to your coaching and making me believe I had it. Confidence is what I learned from you. I dreamed big and now I am working with the largest entertainment group in the world - CIRQUE DU SOLEIL.
Sean A. Lomax |
|
Amy Lyndon is the best in the game for a reason. Not only does she prepare actors for work on camera, she seasons them to be prepared in every aspect of the film industry. I attended her class where she had an exercise on how to nail the "Tell me about yourself" question with producers, agents, writers, etc. and the very next day I found myself being asked that same question by one of the top agents in the game. Not only did I nail it but also, I "WOWED" them so much that they offered me a 1-year contract within the hour! I felt like I was in high school and had the answers to the final exam written on my shoe! Having Amy is like having an industry cheat sheet!
Carlos Pratts |
|
Last night was the best class we have had. In a city where everybody just says, "you're great!" it's refreshing to find somebody who cares enough to say, "here's what you need to do to become great!" even if it's tough love. Thank you!
Jared Thompson |
|
I wanted to say thanks for such a great class. I'm learning so much! Yours is the first class where I can actually feel what it's like to do sitcom the right way.
Alyssa Lobit |
|
I had to email you today and tell you how much YOU ROCK!!!! I really can't tell you how much I appreciate you and your brilliant method. I think last night it finally sunk in. I don't know if you believe in fate, but I've been looking for someone like you for a while to give me a big kick in the ass! I really appreciate what you do and have a lot of respect for you.
Trey Parker |
|
Your speech last night was very uplifting and inspiring! It really can happen at any moment. I feel very ready and I can't wait for my break!!!!!!! I just wish I had met you when I first moved out here 8 years ago!!!!!!

I attribute Kristin's current success because of all the confidence you instilled in her.

Thanks so much for the wise words, and I am so excited that I finally feel like I'm being productive and proactive in getting what I need! Thanks for giving me the push. You're the best!
Aimee |
|
Thank you so much for the manager session last night. It is so good to be thinking about all the things I can be doing to enhance my career. The class is so great in that it not only helps you when you're in the room, but also teaches you HOW to get there!
Shannon O'Dowd |
|
I learned a lot from the seminar and it has given me a new perspective when approaching an audition. I just wanted to let you know that on Day 1 of the workshop I went on an audition right after it. I was thinking about everything you told me, and guess what? I got the role!
Sambath San |
|
Amy's technique is thorough. The 15 Guidelines is the best thing an actor can ever use to prepare for an audition. Through answering those questions the actor can really break apart thought patterns and emotional depth.
Tim Nhlazane |
|
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for taking the time to meet with all of us Syracuse University students! The process you have developed is so clear and concise and easy to understand! Your workshop was a stepping-stone in this process and I am truly grateful for it!
Sarah Olbrantz |
|
Your message spoke right to my poor broken heart :) It is one thing to realize the need for change, and another thing entirely to pursue it. Thank you for your courage in not only relating your experience, but in encouraging me to take the leap of faith that is so necessary, albeit terrifying, for my joy.
Tia Ginet – Canada |
|
Just wanted to shoot you an email and say enormously big thanks for your honest and invaluable workshop. Your technique was one of the highlights of the trip, and I more than look forward to coming back for brush up classes!
Adam Hunter – Australia |
|
I just wanted to tell you: thank you so much for your advice at the workshop last weekend. Throughout the past week a lot of it has really sunk in. I also wanted to tell you that it wasn't just your words of advice at the workshop that moved me. Listening to you talk about the business helped to cement the "LA world" into my mind as a real place. It's so important to hear that you can make it in LA, even if you are in Calgary starting out. So, thank you so much for being such an inspiration.
Alison Murray |
|
I just had to write and thank you for such an inspiring and exciting class with you and Richard Burke's International group last week. I bought your book at the beginning of the week and started using the techniques during it - it was so helpful and gave me a way in to all the different scripts we worked with in such a short space of time.
Sarah Flower |
|
Thanks again Peter for getting Amy up here for us, and for all the work you put into the weekend. It was so helpful. And please thank Amy for kicking our butts (ha ha ha)! Seriously though, I did learn a lot from her workshop. She was "tough" on us, without being mean, and I really appreciate the way she pushed us to go deeper and further and take bigger risks. It was definitely something I needed to hear for sure! Now I'm looking forward to putting it to use!
Shannon |
|
I trust you found your way home safe and sound. I have to tell you it was such a pleasure meeting you this weekend. You are a confident, beautiful, incredibly intelligent woman, with an angelic beautiful soul. Your energy is unbelievably clean, fun, and intoxicating. Your ability to unconditionally share yourself and your journey is breathtaking. You have a special gift in reading people, understanding the human condition, and truly unconditionally loving people. You absolutely shine!! I just wanted you to know how you have enhanced and enriched my life through this weekend journey.
Dawn Nobles |
|
The workshop with Amy was great. I was exhausted, but by the end I was a whole lot smarter. Amy was tough and that is exactly what I need at this point in my training. The mock audition and the feedback that followed on Sunday afternoon were especially helpful because it became very clear what I have to do work on.
Cheryl |
|
I was recently a part of Syracuse's Sorkin Week in LA. I wanted to say thank you so much for the workshop! You gave us some excellent advice on how to market ourselves. Starting my career as an actress in New York City seemed like the obvious choice to me before Sorkin Week, but after meeting with Syracuse Alumni, like yourself, that are happy and successful working in the business in LA, my eyes have been opened to the opportunities Los Angeles has to offer.
Caitlin Westfall |
|
I am so grateful for Amy Lyndon and her guidelines because it is an honest reality and no matter what type of audition I get I now have a brilliant approach to work from for the rest of my career and it takes discipline and hard work, which I've never lacked. Amazing Amy!!
Kiri Stevens |
|
Every time I print out sides, out comes your book and I go through all the steps. I've also listened to all of your lectures repeatedly over the years. It's pretty fair to say it's ingrained in me at this point and thank goodness.
Lynne-Marie Beard |

I recently bought "The 15 Guideline Map to Booking." Well shortly after reading your book, I was called in to audition for Linda Lowy for a role on "Private Practice." So of course I used your technique to work the audition... and I'm happy to report that I booked the gig!! And even better, it's RECURRING!!

I was in the group of SU Drama majors that visited L.A. for Aaron Sorkin Week. All the things you said, I think I've heard before at some point in my training, but then there are always people who tell you or persuade you that it's the wrong way of working. I was so glad to be reminded that other people believe the theories about acting that I do, and to be presented with a practical application that organizes it all into immediate and specific work. I could go into everything I specifically loved, but you know, you teach it! So thank you again - it was such breath of yummy fresh air, and one of the most valuable master classes I've ever taken.

Thank you Amy for class. It was awesome and it's more than I can expect. I appreciate your patience. I've been really watching your blogs and everything and I sound like a creep but your voice lessons are on my ipod – haha.

I've been sending my clients to Amy Lyndon for years and see nothing but vast improvements in their booking stats. I believe in her technique so much, she's on my website.

Like a prizefight referee you're firm but fair; like Santa you lavish your gifts of experience and insight on the students; like a scholar you meticulously lay out your profoundly effective method; and like a Jewish mom you're like a Jewish mom. Best of all, Amy, you're truly inspiring. Not a student left your class without that precious gift. Moreover, you're inspiring while still accurately explaining the Biz and how difficult it can be to succeed. You're like a tightrope walker in that respect. You're big-hearted, funny and cool.

You are amazing! You have incredible knowledge and passion in the industry! You're not only an acting coach you practice what you teach and continue to book various spots! That in itself separates you from the rest. It was absolutely amazing that you brought your 15 Guideline Map To Booking Technique to Winnipeg! I look forward to your return.

Read your book it was an eye opener. I see why I made mistakes at my auditions.

Amy is the actor's tool. She can take an actor's talent and help craft that talent from the foundation up.

What a powerful little book, The Lyndon Technique. On the fourth read of reading it ten times, gold still spills from the pages.

A friend of mine tipped me off about you classes but unfortunately money has been a little tight so I decided in the mean time to get your book and start practicing at home. The first chance I got to use it in an actual audition setting I did, and I booked the job. I'm thrilled, it's my first co-starring role and it's on an amazing show "Parks and Recreation." Thank you for writing such a wonderful road map for other actors to utilize and I can't wait to take classes from you and hone your technique! Thank you.

Arriving from Tennessee for pilot season my 17 year old and I had ordered every acting book we could find. Among all the thick text like books was a thin small handbook called, "The Lyndon Technique". It was so thin we were sure we had been ripped off. After reading all the other books we proceeded onto your handbook and found a diamond in the rough. Of all the books yours is a gem with its down to earth step-by-step guide for booking the job. If only we had read this first!!

Before reading Amy Lyndon's 15 Guideline's my auditions were riddled with "choices" and ideas of how scenes should play. Sure I would book on occasion, but not nearly as frequently as I could have. Breaking down a script has never been easier and now if I have any questions I have my trusty sidekick to fall back on - especially on those nights before an audition where I used to just freak out and panic wondering what I was going to do. Because of this book I have all confidence that I will consistently be in that 1% that book. So, goodbye scene studies - hello booking.

I wanted to let you know that I am so glad I stumbled upon your website and book. It has changed my life as an actor. Just in the little time I've had it, I've been able to blow away local casting director JoEdna Boldin at her casting workshop in New Mexico! Thank you for sharing your insight! I really appreciate it!!!

Amy Lyndon's 15 Guideline technique book brings the same direct, no-nonsense, to the point coaching that I have grown to love in her class that has accelerated my acting career and growth. This book has been invaluable in that I can scrape the rust off at quantum speeds to be able to be at my best and continue to book. The writing and the technique itself is practical, logical, and by simply following her directions the character emerges organically. Quite honestly, this is the ONLY book you need to quickly FIND the character, BE the character, and GET the part.

Amy, you hit the nail right on the head! FINALLY a book to teach me the reality of acting. I feel more confident than ever after reading your technique! Who would have thought breaking down scenes could offer so much information! Thanks for all the wonderful insight!

So, I read the book last night and thought it was very concise and clear. The great thing about your technique is that it makes perfect sense therefore is easy to apply. I think back to all the many books I've read that are quadruple the length of yours and think...how gullible was I? Like... go in the audition and make a bold choice...it may be wrong but they'll respect you and all that BS!!

Your book and technique have CHANGED MY AUDITIONS A MILLION FOLD. Prior to learning your 15 steps booking was like pushing a hotel up a hill!!!

Amy Lyndon's 15 Guideline Map To Booking Handbook is a blessing to all actors out there. What Amy Lyndon's technique has taught me is incomparable to any other. This handbook gives you a step-by-step practical approach to breaking down sides for an audition - the rest is up to you. It gives you the confidence and knowledge to know what the writer and casting director is looking for. Without Amy in my life my focus as an actor would be totally blinkered, I carry this book with me everywhere, as you never know when you are going to need it.

I have had a chance to review your book The 15 Guideline Map To Booking Handbook and think it is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! I got so much from reading it and think it is an awesome tool for all serious actors who are interested in mastering the audition so that they can move into the careers that they desire. I will be using this resource in my own auditions and plan to purchase a couple of copies for friends.

I really feel my acting changing right in front of my eyes! Your book has helped a great deal. What I love about your book and the results I'm getting are from Guidelines 3 & 4. I feel more playful with whatever comes my way.

You really helped me see that I need to be out there fulfilling my dream and doing what I love. It was so inspiring to listen to you and to learn. Thank you again for re-doing my resume and for advising me. It's so kind of you to help others in the field. Not everyone I have met with has been as honest or as kind as you and I just really wanted you to know how grateful I am for meeting with you.

I recently attended Amy Lyndon's actor packaging workshop. It was a goldmine of information. Amy's industry acumen and her ability to deftly zero in on the essence of who you are and how to position yourself in today's marketplace proved invaluable. Seriously, I learned more in this three-hour session than I have in the past year wandering through the maze of what to do if you're an actor in LA. Highly recommended!

I've only had the pleasure of meeting you in person once and I found that I learned more in that one-hour meeting than in the entire 4 months since coming to LA. I have already managed to put together a high quality reel and I'm fast on my way to securing an agent/manager. I have been on several auditions, met with approx. 11 different CD's and am now working on producing my own web series - I attribute much of this to your ability to inspire.

Your guidance in one Coaching Session allowed me to walk in to the audition room with a newfound confidence and relaxation. Not a moment went by that I felt I didn't have every angle covered! I am certain that no matter who I compete against, I now have the edge to succeed.

Thank you so much for the referral - we have signed your client and feel we will be able to further his career so he can reach his acting goals. Your client was not in touch with the right representation, and we are going to change all of that for him and have him out there auditioning. I am so glad you referred him to us and will keep you posted on his success!

Everyone that we have signed from Amy's classes are bookers! We love how well they are trained and how they "GET" how this business works! You've done your homework and your students testify to that fact. Thanks for the good work.

Amy Lyndon is the first coach each and every client has credited with their learning more about the craft than from any other coach. She is a fantastic coach. I think you are a wonderful teacher and the kids respond well to your 'no nonsense' approach. Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort you put into each and every one of my clients. We all appreciate you very much.

While researching acting coaches I discovered one of L.A.'s greatest jewels: Amy Lyndon. She is truly a wellspring of knowledge and enthusiasm. I love her "customized" method, as I too believe in the same teaching style. I could write a glowing novel on Amy Lyndon, but I will conclude by saying this: Amy Lyndon is the epitome of whole person teaching. Her clients' successes are the proof, but their love and respect for her while (and long after) working with her are the true testimony to her beautiful soul which shines brighter than any Hollywood lights!

We recently had Amy Lyndon as one of our special guest speakers at one of our events, and boy were we glad we did! She is like the Tasmanian devil of actor's proactively! She is funny, energetic, and most importantly highly skilled in showing actors how to get off the couch and go and make something happen for their careers!

One of the best acting coaches I most respect in this industry is Amy Lyndon. One thing I like about her class is not only she teaches you how to audition and book it, but she also tells you the reality on how the acting business works.

I just wanted to say that I viewed the video class you had with Clinton Huff on TLTaccess.com and was blown away by your teaching. I am a relative newcomer to this profession, I qualify for membership in AARP and I realized that I have just scratched the surface with my acting education. Thanks and "keeping kicking our a**es!!!
