Amy is a no BS type of coach. You can try and fake your way through a scene, but Amy's expertise comes from getting to the truth and honoring the work as it's written so you can book the job and become a working actor. I am finally on track auditioning with more confidence than ever before. If you want someone who understands the business, the work and what it takes to book the job, this is the class for you!
~ Chris DiVecchio
Matthew booked an important role in the feature film "Bad Teacher" with Cameron Diaz this past week. The audition skills he learned from you made a significant contribution to his success! I highly recommend your classes and coaching sessions to anyone who is serious about a career in film or TV!
~ Leona Evans – Mathew Evans Mom
There's Shakespeare, Scene Study, Cold Reading and then there is Amy Lyndon's Booking Technique - "the final frontier" in actually getting the job. After only four classes, I booked Grey's Anatomy. Two weeks later and two more classes, I booked a feature film directed and produced by Clint Eastwood opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Change your booking ratio, change your life. I highly recommend Amy Lyndon's Booking Technique.
~ Roberta E. Bassin
After going through the normal route of classical acting studios and feeling like I was not connecting I found Amy. After reading her book I signed up the next day. While she will tell you "this is a booking class, not an acting class," I would disagree. By the means of what she teaches it allows a connection with the material at the same time of learning how to audition. She also has an incredible sense of creating the right tone for the type of project you are auditioning for. Amy is also to the point and does not give empty compliments just to keep you in the class. She will tell you what you need to do to get it right. Thanks Amy.
~ Viktor Argo
I love your new book Amy! It’s a wonderful supplement to your awesome class – which by the way can’t be beat. For years, I have been jumping around from acting class to acting class but never felt like I was getting what I needed to book the job. I learned all sorts of techniques but nothing seemed to stick until I learned your technique. For the first time, breaking down a script is actually an enjoyable process that makes sense. I use to hate breaking down scripts and never knew if I was doing it correctly because so much of what I was doing was subjective because I was making “choices” rather than just doing what the writer intended! My characters are now so much more defined and richer. Your technique has allowed me to feel confident in the audition room because for the first time I feel like I know what I’m doing. And the proof is in the pudding because I’m getting great feedback and callbacks for juicy guest star roles! Thanks for putting all this valuable info in a book that I can tote around wherever I go!
~ Yee Yee Lee
I just wanted to say thank you for really grounding me with my auditions. Not only have I had some great auditions lately, but also I just booked the biggest role of my career to date. I will be guest starring on "Crisis" in January.
~ Ray Chang
Amy completely changed my life. Through the Lyndon 15, a technique she developed, I was able to go to auditions completely prepared and book the role. It was as if she was able to turn on the acting switch via her intense, no nonsense, and nurturing style of coaching. I went from doing nothing to finishing the year with 12 films and a nice reel in my actors tool box. YOU ARE AWESOME, AMY.
~ Sam Spade
I wish I‘d met Amy when I first got into the industry. I would have saved sooo much time and money. Before I started with Amy, I was very inconsistent with my auditions - some days were good and others, well, I hated myself for choosing this profession. The Lyndon Technique has helped me get out of my head and consistently have great auditions. She also helped me with my reel, which my agent loved! And by helped I mean, she held my hand through the whole process, choosing scenes (I could be cast for), coaching and editing. She is truly invested in all her students. Amy is a great teacher for actors, from those who are learning the ropes to those who just need a bit of polishing.
~ Ingrid Tejada
Amy Lyndon and her Booking Technique classes, private coaching, and especially her Career Consultations are MUST for any actor--just starting out or seasoned--if you want to book work and be a serious actor and build a career! I have been a working performing artist and actor for over 16 years and have studied with many instructors and coaches in my time, and I must tell you, by far, Amy and her coaching has been the most helpful, caring and rewarding I have experienced. She has taught me so much and I feel the need to pay it forward to you.
I study in her classes which are filled with all ages and Amy is always pulling the best performances out of each and every one of her students through her straightforward, no baloney coaching, but most importantly with a caring, unintimidating approach. She finds your strengths and keeps pulling those things out of every actor and teaches us how to book the job on the first take and gives tips on the audition process with current scenes. And these things are NOT taught by many. If you don't have her book The Lyndon Technique, go buy it.
Amy was referred to me by an actor that had trained with her for years when I felt like I hit a wall. I started taking class with her and immediately went home every night feeling stronger, and with direction for what I need to work on, and most importantly: Immediately started booking and found a new agent. Things started happening.
Also her career consultations are incredible--we went over photos, my resume, links and all marketing materials. Sitting down with her is more valuable than jumping into a workshop. Now I've been doing this a long time, and thought my package was not bad, but Amy made it 100 times better--her eye for headshots and what will catch casting's eyes was better than any critique I have ever had. Truly, I am so grateful for her and her coaching.
~ Tammy Felice
I booked CSI as Marta Corteo. I auditioned today at 3 and by 4 I had been booked. Apparently they stopped seeing people and made a choice. You've helped me achieve all the success that I've had lately, you taught me how to promote myself, have a good package and audition to book. Thank you eternally for your influence and help. Much love!
~ Alexandra Manea
I only received the sides the evening before but set to work on it using your guidelines. I did the readings and in her words, “I am really impressed and I am not easily impressed. You have seen 2 hundredths of the script taken out of context and what you have brought to it is very good. You are my last appointment of the day, you were definitely worth the wait and I am so glad to end the day on a high.” I then let her into the secret of your fine work. So thank you again. It clearly works.
~ Suzanne Roche
Just wanted to take a moment to say how thankful I am to have met you. You have helped me tremendously not only with my acting but with confidence as well. I can't tell you the great feedback I have been receiving, especially in comedy. I notice how much of myself / personality I'm bringing into a scene, and making it less about the words. Your technique has helped me understand sides tremendously and your teaching and support has helped me take more risks and grow as an actor.
~ Kris Paredes
I'm SO GRATEFUL, BLESSED, APPRECIATIVE to have found you!!! You're class has changed my life... not only professionally but personally as well. From the bottom of my heart I thank you. I can't even put into words what you have done for me.
~ Melissa Rivera
Amy Lyndon's technique has literally changed my state of being when I enter the audition room. I have been studying and working as an actor for over 10 years, but I never felt comfortable with my own audition process. Now, I feel so relaxed because I've done the work and applied "The Lyndon Technique" to my material and it works every time. It feels great to have the right plan.
~ Marcus Patrick
I booked the callback the day after my first Amy Lyndon class! I put Amy's technique to work, and booked this awesome role! Big thanks, and may your day be awesome!
~ Jimmy McFinn
Amy... what can I say? You know it when you just know it. There is no question you're my kind of teacher and business professional. Not only do your skills and qualifications speak volumes... but also your personality and style complete the deal. I'm glad I'm here. "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear" I AM READY!!!
~ Joey Lotito
Thank you for your encouraging words, always. I feel like I have grown so much in just the last year and a half that I have studied with you. Your words have really allowed me to be okay with letting go - and that is so important! I love your class, Amy. You're the best.
~ Angie Light
Ok. I haven't even had my 4th class with you yet, but since I started on July 19th, I've booked "The Mentalist" (shoots tomorrow), put on avail for "The Parenthood", and just an hour ago, I was put on avail for "Private Practice." I guessed I learned something, huh? ;-) THANKS, AMY!
~ William Christopher Stephens
I just booked the starring role -- the actual title character -- in a pilot by 20th Century Fox! The writer called me to tell me that they had more than 1500 submissions, they auditioned 150, and I was their first choice! I called my agent to tell her that they called me directly to let me know I was booked, and she said, "It's that Amy Lyndon." So thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
~ Jen Nikolaisen
I can honestly say that since I started studying The Lyndon Technique I have become a booking machine. Her technique, insight and experience are immeasurable. I signed with an A list commercial agent, manager, booked Sons of Anarchy, booked the lead in a feature film, 6 (paying) films and figured out what I'm selling. Her passion and commitment to her students, and the work, is contagious.
~ Mike Pfaff
Amy - you are AWESOME! Thank you so much for helping Justin get to where he is today, without your fantastic teaching methods, The Lyndon Technique, and your amazing coaching, we'd probably be back in Colorado instead of booking jobs! Not only do you have a superb and successful teaching method - you also really care about your clients! Thank you for EVERYTHING you have helped us with. YOU ROCK!
~ Jennifer Tinucci – Justin Tinucci's Mom
My audition with Criminal Minds went really well and I owe it all to you!! I may not show it to you in class, but your technique and guidance has really helped to take me to the next level in my craft. I walked in to the audition with 6 people sitting there and I was so focused and felt so confident in what I was saying and doing. After the read several said, "really good read", and Scott David was smiling and nodding his head yes in agreement!! I owe you a debt of gratitude.
~ Monique Bricca
You rock Amy! You are THE best teacher, you tell the truth and make actors better, always held a high regard and respect for you :)
~ Heath Centazzo
AMY LYNDON your technique has changed my career. I use it for EVERY script, whether it is a cold read or a shoot, you are AMAZING!
~ DH Lewis
Hi Amy! I just want to let you know how much I love to get an audition now and to work the Lyndon Technique in preparing...I have an audition later this afternoon and I am looking forward to showing them how detailed my character is!
~ Marie V. Cruz
Amy, I love your courses! I am not a typically fanatical person, but I was telling a friend yesterday that when I listen to your lectures I feel like jumping up and down, throwing my arms into the air and shouting, "AMEN! HALLELUJAH!" I love your no-holds-barred method of teaching! You hit the nail on the head every time. I actually get chills when I listen to you speak -- that is the true sign of inspiration! I've learned more from you than I have from all of the acting courses I have taken combined.
~ David Hodges
Hey Amy! I just want to say that I think you and your class were the best thing that happened to my career and me. I really mean it, and I'm not just saying it, but I think you need to hear how you profound, astute and smart you are - I just think you are an unbelievable teacher and mentor.
~ Tony Feijoo
I went in to read for producers for the new feature "The Bucket List" with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. In the room, Rob Reiner asked me to take a look at the sides for the Third Lead character. They handed me eight pages! After only 10 minutes they called me back in. I was able to break down the script and deliver a performance that Rob Reiner and the rest of the producers said, "wow, that was awesome. Impressive!" I finished the session feeling great, knowing I had given a wonderful audition, and as my agent confirmed for me afterwards, they were very impressed. With Amy's coaching I have developed a strong and consistent process that has certainly increased my confidence and final product! I LOVE AMY!!!!
~ Roy Vongtama
Well long story short I got my sides and was clueless for about 15 minutes and then I said you know this, I've done this a million times so get to it... BREAK THIS SCRIPT DOWN!!!! Well, I did and I used your guidelines that I had buried in the back of my acting notebook and I ROCKED THAT AUDITION AND BOOKED IT!!!!! It was YOUR guidelines that got me ready and made me feel comfortable enough to go in that audition room and feel like I knew exactly what I was doing because I actually did know!! I just want to thank you for being a great teacher and creating the Guidelines that WILL GET YOU BOOKED!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!
~ Bridgette Wright
Amy is inspirational. She cares so much about each student. She takes time to learn who they are, what they can bring to the table, and how they can improve. She creates a fear-free environment and helps people feel comfortable to grow. She has a wide breadth of knowledge about her industry, and she loves to share it and help people achieve their goals. Amy is hard working, and dedicated. I recommend her fully.
~ Iselle Slome
Troy got the part!!! Troy just got a call from the director of "My Life Undecided" and it's all because of you!!! Thank you!
~ Troy Osterberg's Mom
Amy Lyndon is by far the BEST coach!! She is also a proactive working actor who goes out in the world and just doesn't teach. She is privy to every casting director, every show and does her homework and passes it on to her students. She is hard, yes.... but kind, warm, generous and so cute and funny. She NEVER makes an actor feel inadequate. She will work you till you are there at the callback. I could go on and on.
~ Maray Ayres
Amy is an amazing teacher and her program is the ultimate actors' boot camp. She's the drill sergeant, coach, director and casting director. It's the greatest place to be challenged, tune your audition and acting muscles, learn new skills and get stronger. Always inspiring, Amy knows what she's talking about, is always right and has a wealth of knowledge about what it takes to be a working actor. Survive her class and you will be ready to actually succeed in the real world. There is nothing else like it!
~ A.J. Tannen
Amy is the most amazing teacher I've ever had. She really helps her students not only understand the material at hand, but to understand the genre, how to make the story work the way it is written, and to have the confidence performing any role. She has helped me many times to think outside the box about ways to get into a casting office or breakdown a scene. Ever since my start with Amy's Technique, my stagnant career has taken off because she makes you set goals and holds you accountable for yourself as a self-promoting actor...she is the Jesus of Acting Coaches.
~ Alexis Zibolis
What's up, Amy? Just want to let you know that I just booked a film called "Legacy". I can't believe I'm actually going to be getting paid to do what I love! I have to thank you and give a huge-ass hug for drilling me with comedy. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
~ Jelani Gibson
Thank you for everything. You are the most awesome coach in the world. You have moved me forward so much in acting. My entire approach to my entire life has changed from taking your class.
~ Brianna Larson
Listen, I wanted to tell you the other night when I was driving away, that I have taken class EVERYWHERE in this town. EVERYWHERE. And you are by FAR my favorite coach and class. I am not just saying that, really. It is tailor-made for me. Love it.
~ Annette Chavez
I just got the call that I booked a part in Sofia Coppola's "Mary Antoinette". I'm opposite Kirsten Dunst and Jason Shwartzman. I'm so excited!!! It shoots in Paris!!! Thanks so much!!! I couldn't have done this without your teaching. I'm really glad I went to you first for acting class. It has really paid off.
~ Bo Barrett
You are a great teacher because you are a great example. You are specific, relentless and passionate in your own life and you expect the same from all of us. Your technique translates to all styles. I'd been doing a particular Shakespearean monologue for years. Using your technique I was able to take it to the next level, making it so much more personal and fun for me. The director and producer had a ball watching it and I booked the show! Thank you.
~ Jacy Gross
After studying with you for only two months, I can already see a huge difference in my booking percentage. I had three auditions this past weekend and booked all of them! You're a genius.
~ Marguerite Insolia
I just booked my first SAG feature and they are Taft Hartlying me! Thank you for your great technique.
~ Meli Paige
I booked a job on Saturday. It's a series of films that Master P is producing and directing. We already finished one, where I co-starred with his son Lil Romeo. I wasn't even nervous when I went up to audition. Thank you.
~ Jay Costelo
About a week ago I read in class an audition piece that I was going to audition for, last night I finally had the audition and felt very confident due to your class. My reading went great! I could not have been any happier. I walked out of that place knowing that I had the part. Today they called me and let me know that I did get the part. I received this job all because of you Amy. Thank you very much.
I just wanted to thank you for being such a wonderful teacher. I had an audition two weeks ago for an independent feature film titled "Juarez Mexico." When I went to the audition I read completely cold & applied what I've learned from you. I felt good about the audition & what's funny is that the character has a very tough scene (strong character), just like what we had started working on. I ended up not holding back & went crazy, which worked. The director loved my "intensity" is what he called it. So, we started shooting on Tuesday!
~ Carmen Perez
I booked another feature film! It's also one of the leads. I did my thing and when I was done, the producer asked where I had been training, because she was really impressed with how calm, relaxed I was, and how I took my time to feel every moment. Those were her exact words. She also was impressed by how good I did even with the reader who didn't even look up at me once. I responded with my previous training and emphasized you and your class. So she booked me and we start shooting in January. Thank you!
~ Anthony Marquez
I have been acting my whole life, but not until I started Amy's course have I been as confident in my abilities as I am now. I have gotten jobs and representation due to her practical and effective methods. Thank you Amy for making me a better working actor!
~ Walter Delmar
I went straight to producers this morning at Paramount Studios. They handed me sides when I got there! No worries! Your training rocks! They kept me till it was just me and one other girl. Then they chose her. She was more Puerto Rican than me by far! And looked like the lead's sister. But I'm FUNNY! And made sure they knew that! The main producer walked me out and said, "I'm going to work you into this show. Now that I know who you are ...I can write for you." I told him awesome ...that I looked forward to working with him.
~ Maria Arce
Amy, do you have any idea how instrumental you were in me booking this role?? Tell your class to pay close attention, your supportive words have a creative life all their own. Long ago you mentioned to me during a critique, "Who wears plaid pants like that? You're unique and brilliant at comedy!" Well, I never forgot that day and your words lived in me for the past year. Remembering your critique, this time I went to the audition as me, just me. No audition clothes, I wore my favorite britches, the plaid pants and my converse tennies. I felt unstressed and you know, as myself with which I threw in a bit of my dry wit and they loved it. At the shoot the Show Runner and Producer complimented me on being funny, that's pretty cool. There you go sister; this is a win for both of us. I couldn't have done it without you!
~ Channe Nolen
I wanted to say thanks for such a great class. I'm learning so much! Yours is the first class where I can actually feel what it's like to do sitcom the right way.
~ Alyssa Lobit
I had to email you today and tell you how much YOU ROCK!!!! I really can't tell you how much I appreciate you and your brilliant method. I think last night it finally sunk in. I don't know if you believe in fate, but I've been looking for someone like you for a while to give me a big kick in the ass! I really appreciate what you do and have a lot of respect for you.
~ Trey Parker
Your speech last night was very uplifting and inspiring! It really can happen at any moment. I feel very ready and I can't wait for my break!!!!!!! I just wish I had met you when I first moved out here 8 years ago!!!!!!
~ Debbie Wittenberg
I am so grateful for Amy Lyndon and her guidelines because it is an honest reality and no matter what type of audition I get I now have a brilliant approach to work from for the rest of my career and it takes discipline and hard work, which I've never lacked. Amazing Amy!!
~ Kiri Stevens
Just came back from another audition and I am on fire. Amy, you are God sent. I carry your book with me everywhere I go and it’s the perfect How To Book to go out and nail every audition. Now whether I get the job or not, I don't care because I know they'll remember me regardless. I have never felt so on top of my game and confident in my craft. Taking your classes and having your book have been the best things that have happened in my career. I leave no step uncovered, come in, do my job, and get the hell out. I love you Amy and am forever grateful.
~ Vanessa Hidalgo
When I first heard about Amy Lyndon's class from a friend, I thought it was just like any other classes out here in LA. "It was another good class that a person is taking because they heard it looks good on the resume." But once, I actually took the class, and career consultation from Amy, my bookings went up, my whole career changed within months. My confidence level went up, I was comfortable with who I was, and what I was selling as an actor. When I went into auditions, I didn't have the nervousness, i once had and was in the 1%. I've booked numerous films and a series regular within the year of studying with Amy. Not only is she the BEST booking coach, and career consultant, but she is a GREAT person.
Thank you for all your hard work! I always leave your class feeling like I've accomplished something, learned something, and have something new to work on. You strike a great balance with constructive criticism :) See you soon!
~ Allison Powell
I wish I would have met Amy when I first got into the industry.
I wasted a lot of time. Your class is the most effective class I know. I'm glad you exist to give actors a chance at succeeding. You've impacted my life.
~ Vivian Guzman
First and foremost I want to say that I am really enjoying the class and I am learning so much about myself and you help keep me very motivated.... I'm not trying to kiss your ass but you're a pretty amazing woman, you have a lot of heart and I appreciate you.
~ Lena Bookall
I just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks. Thursday night in class I felt like I had a breakthrough. Your lecture spoke to really letting it go and doing the scene for me. I took that to heart, and it really allowed me to be present in the scene.
~ Angie Light
Just wanted to say you are phenomenal cold reading coach and a truly authentic person. Just what I was looking for in a cold reading coach!
~ Caro Moreno
I am blessed to be in such an informative and educational class with you. Everything that we talk about in class was addressed in the audition session- from beginning, middle, end- choices, and I was fully aware of my choices with the material and why I made them- and able to talk about them. Amy, I felt so empowered, and when he asked to see shame, I gave it to him. I felt relaxed, prepared and in control of my work.
~ Tenisha D. Light
I love the way you teach! Having worked with several coaches, I realize how important it is to have a comfortable safe relationship with a person - who coaches for the right reasons and from the right place. You are great at what you do and the whole experience was so positive for me.
~ Ashlee Gilbert
I wonder if others in your class really know the wealth of entertainment knowledge you possess, and just how fortunate we are to have you.
~ Sean Wilson
I feel that on behalf of all of your students, it is hugely important that I acknowledge the following... not only are you a fantastic acting teacher/coach, but a genuine and real-deal mentor to all of us! And that is The Double Wammy! It is so evident of how in touch you are with the careers of all of your students... Your interest and support is a tremendous source of continual inspiration... which all of us need! YOU are the Double Wammy Mama-Jamma!
~ Vikki Gurdas
I had a great time in your class today. Thank you so much for putting it together. All the recommendations and things I'd read & heard about you were true. You're a good teacher, fun, know exactly what you're doing, and do it well. I especially appreciate the way you break the reading process down to digestible and tasty bite-sized chunks - it's very useful. But perhaps the most powerful gift you gave me today was the reminder to practice auditioning. I'm very new to L.A., and acting as a business, though I've been practicing the craft for 30 years. Everything in class today now has me excited and eager to just get out and audition as much as possible. So, thanks for a fun and motivating experience today.
~ Drew Garretson
AMY!!!!! I booked Criminal Minds today just like you said! I am ecstatic! Thank you for coaching me and for giving me amazing insight into the scene and character...I am on Cloud 9! Thanks to YOU!
~ Anzu Lawson
I got a call saying I booked that film we worked on and it's shooting in Ireland. Thanks for your help in our privates. I definitely think our approach to the scenes were different than anyone else's. You're a smart girl Amy Lyndon!
~ Rick Yudt
I was in LA last month and I took a few private lessons with Amy Lyndon. I have no prior training, and I've got to say that it was AMAZING. She taught me not only how to break down the sides and make it come alive, but also the posture to adopt when in the casting room. I'd definitely recommend her to all newbies who don’t know what to do and where to start. She was so patient with me! I'll definitely be crawling back to her doorstep!!!
~ Evelyn Scarlet
I honestly cannot say enough about Amy Lyndon. One of my biggest issues (and probably for other actors as well) was WHAT AM I SELLING, but after working with Amy privately, she has helped and directed me on turning my "C package into an A package." This has in return, given me the confidence and knowledge I need to get representation and BOOK! AMY is AMAZING!
~ Mychal Thompson
You were so amazing yesterday. Very inspiring and motivating. I am so excited to have had the opportunity to listen and learn from you again. Thanks so much for the time and support.
You are by Far the most knowledgeable and inspirational acting coach I have ever had! Thank you for your words or wisdom and your belief in my talent. You have always been a positive light in this crazy but loveable business :)
~ Irina Skaya
Thank you so much for your awesome gift of coaching/directing. I went into the room, did the two scenes and got an applause:) Later that evening I saw the promo for the film with my name scrolling across the screen. I really, really wanted this role of Dr. Sandra Patterson. LOVE YOU!
~ Vivienne Jurado
I want to thank you so much for meeting with me. You really helped me see that I need to be out there fulfilling my dream and doing what I love. It was so inspiring to listen to you and to learn. Thank you again for re-doing my resume and for advising me. It's so kind of you to help others in the field. Not everyone I have met with has been as honest or as kind as you and I just really wanted you to know how grateful I am for meeting with you.
~ Ally Gordon
I recently attended Amy Lyndon's actor packaging workshop. It was a goldmine of information. Amy's industry acumen and her ability to deftly zero in on the essence of who you are and how to position yourself in today's marketplace proved invaluable. Seriously, I learned more in this three hour session than I have in the past year wandering through the maze of what to do if you're an actor in LA. Highly recommended!
~ Rick Frederick
Hi Amy -- Thank you for taking the time to coach me today. I am so grateful to you for sharing your brilliant coaching talent with me and am always in awe of your razor-sharp insight. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! OOXX
~ Rosalind Gatto
You are a blessing to the acting Community. Congratulations for passing on your success to other people and exemplifying selflessness in a very selfish, egocentric industry. You're truly an encourager.
You know how people say there's always that one teacher you'll never forget and will be your mentor, they will teach you things you never even thought possible? Thank you Amy Lyndon, you are the best teacher I've ever had!
~ Lindsey Warm
This was the most honest and encouraging feedback I've gotten regarding singing in a long time. You rock!! Thanks a million!!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for recommending Scott. He auditioned so well and took adjustments with ease. He's very talented! He killed it at callbacks. We went with someone else for the role but we want to bring him in for something else (even if we have to write him in). He was great!
~ Precious Holloway
Thank you! You are a very special and wonderful person along with a great talent as actor/teacher/mentor/coach etc i could go on. U are one of a kind and i am glad i found you. I plan on working real hard for you and i know u will push me!
~ Kye Kinder
I just wanted to let you know that thanks to your referral to Matthew Walerstein he has taken me on as a client. He also offered to package me as a writer and set up meetings for me! I am so excited, thank you so much!
~ Sarah Shaheen
I haven't stopped thinking about what you've helped me with. You gave me so much more to think about. This whole time, I've been working on improving my acting, without spending as much time on the business side. I forgot how to sell myself. I forgot who I was! Thank you...thank you...thank you for your generosity!
~ Huyen Thi
I love your positive outlook. You’re inspiring and keep that up..we all need you and people like you...it is hard but not impossible and we can do this!
~ Larry Bagby
My audition went well thanks to your coaching and making me believe I had it. Confidence is what I learned from you. I dreamed big and now I am working with the largest entertainment group in the world - CIRQUE DU SOLEIL.
~ Sean A. Lomax
Thank you so much for the manager session last night. It is so good to be thinking about all the things I can be doing to enhance my career. The class is so great in that it not only helps you when you're in the room, but also teaches you HOW to get there!
~ Shannon O'Dowd
I've only had the pleasure of meeting you in person once and I found that I learned more in that one-hour meeting than in the entire 4 months since coming to LA. I have already managed to put together a high quality reel and I'm fast on my way to securing an agent/manager. I have been on several auditions, met with approx. 11 different CD's and am now working on producing my own web series - I attribute much of this to your ability to inspire. Despite all of the marvelous advice that I received on that day in late September, the mantra that was most powerful... that I still can hear echoing in my mind even to this very day is, "Don't wait."
~ Sol Tafari
Your guidance in one Coaching Session allowed me to walk in to the audition room with a new found confidence and relaxation. Not a moment went by that I felt I didn't have every angle covered! I am certain that no matter who I compete against, I now have the edge to succeed. I can't thank you enough and I look forward to continuing my career with you on my side!
~ Kyle Slabotsky
I can't tell you how grateful I am for today's coaching session. This past year I booked so many jobs but realized once I was on set that I had a hole in my technique when moving from auditioning to filming. Some of my work was GREAT and even recognized with an acting award from a film festival jury and other work... honestly... not my best... I wasn't sure why... and now I do!!! There are no words for me to express what I learned and experienced today...one thing I know is that this moment of training from you is going to be key for my success. Amy you are a GEM a true GEM and I can't thank you enough for taking the time to create this technique!!!
~ Theresa Layne
Today I saw you in the coaching video and wish to share that I am absolutely amazed by the way you coach. It is so powerful. You emanating such strength giving this impression that when you lead there must turn out into success. I wish to be closer to LA and be in a position to have coaching sessions with you. For now I am wishing you all the best from Germany.
~ Joanna Pilatowicz (Germany)
Jessica is deployed overseas and can read all the valuable information that TLTaccess.com has to offer! I'm so excited that you help actors EVERYWHERE with their acting business!
~ Jessica Bridgeman's Mom
Amy, I just wanted to say that I viewed the video class you had with Clint Huff and was blown away by your teaching. I am a relative newcomer to this profession, although I qualify for membership in AARP, and I realized that I have just scratched the surface with my acting education. Thanks and "keeping kicking our a**es!!!
~ Bill Scala
All I can say is that TLTaccess.com is AMAZINGLY helpful. I think what you have set up is really awesome, and it's easy to navigate. I genuinely feel like it's helping point me in the right direction. So thank you for having this service up and running, and I look forward to more enlightening articles.
~ Nicole Sykes
I've known and practiced The Lyndon Technique for years. It honestly wasn't until I listened to the lectures on TLTAccess that I actually got the technique. It was huge for me. I went back to class and everyone noticed the difference. Ever since, I've been feeling much more confident and nailing my reads!
You're the best!
~ Lauren Z Ray
Thank you Amy for class. It was awesome and it's more than I can expect. I appreciate your patience. I've been really watching your blogs and everything and I sound like a creep but your voice lessons are on my ipod – haha.
~ Teodorico Sajor
Thanks so much for the wise words, and I am so excited that I finally feel like I'm being productive and proactive in getting what I need! Thanks for giving me the push. You're the best!
Good God I love you and I love your philosophies! I'm very glad you wrote this and have ALWAYS felt you taught with the PERFECT balance of positive inspiration and necessary realisim. Anyone who pursues this career should be smart enough to know that it, like everything in this life, is not a sure thing and if they're too dumb to know that and quit because they don't get on a show right away, then good, I don't want them sullying our town anyway. Reading your words reminded me that you truly understand art and made me feel so blessed to know you. You're the one who taught me not to let the naysayers waste my time so I'm glad to see that they're not getting you down either. And your very last line kicked so much ass it's not even funny! Way to drive it home, babe. Keep gettin up and brushin off your butt and the rest of us will too!
I'm getting so much from your new TLTaccess Series Regular membership. I cannot wait to find out what will you add next.
~ Ricarte Rivera
I enjoyed listening to the lecture "How To Put Together Your Acting Package" and hearing you break down each topic. It gave me a lot of good ideas to think about, especially the Interview, Resume, and Negotiating topics. I absolutely love your brutally honest approach.
~ Robert Glen Decker
I truly loved listening to the lectures! How amazing that a recording of a class can be so empowering, straight talking and inspirational! I just wish I could have listened to all of your lectures as soon as I left Drama School!
~ Daniel R
You have given me the tools to not only 'nail' the audition but also how to run myself as a business and get the auditions in the first place! I feel on top of my game and can't thank you enough. I now have a number of 'secret weapons' that will put me ahead of everyone else in the casting room! Please, Please, Please come over to the UK!
~ Jenna (England)
I listened to all of the downloads I purchased last night... I loved it!! I definitely have detailed notes that will really help me improve with auditions and just the overall process of auditioning!! I think as actors we tend to go in with the idea to "prepare to hate this part" perspective. You really helped me to understand that if I approach it in a different way, I won't have that anxiety and I can really embrace AND actually like that part of the process! I especially like the part that focuses on when you get to the waiting room to audition -I laughed my butt off - cause I have definitely cast some people in that waiting room!!
SERIES REGULARS/FEATURE FILM STARS
Thank you for all your help. I couldn't be where I am right now if it wasn't for you. My mom & I are still in disbelief. Thank you so so much!
~ Paris Berelc (Series Regular – Mighty Med)
My experience with Amy has been full of professionalism, success, and technique. To become a serious actor or actress, Amy Lyndon is the way to go.
~ Raini Rodriguez (Series Regular – Austin & Ally)
If it weren’t for you and your technique, Autumn would never have been able to get through this rigorous schedule. She would never of booked it even. You are awesome!!!
~ Kristen Wendel - Autumn Wendel’s Mom (Series Regular – Every Witch Way)
Thanks, Amy! I wouldn't be where I am today without you!
~ Becca Battoe (Voice of Anastasia Steele – Fifty Shades Of Grey)
Amy's directing is very unique. She watches and listens carefully but is also like my mirror. Anything that I see or don't see, she will reflect and make me see it so that I can understand it. I've become an intelligent actress because of this. My choices are more specific and I understand the business as a whole as a result of it, too. In that way, she is both an excellent director/coach and an excellent friend.
~ Nadine Velazquez (Series Regulars – Major Crimes/My Name Is Earl)
I came out to Los Angeles knowing nothing. Literally nothing but I was determined to figure it out. I couldn't have learned and would not continue to learn if Amy Lyndon wasn’t in my life :) Her approach to the audition world changed the way I viewed the audition process and also the way I tackled each scene was life changing. I went from an out of work actor to the Lead in two Studio Films to be released in 2014! In one of them I'm opposite Maria Bello and Kevin Costner! She has and will continue to help make my dreams a reality :) Love you Amy!
~ Carlos Pratts (McFarland – Disney Feature/Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones)
PopStar Magazine asked Cory Hardrict if he took acting classes, he responded: "Yes I do. I have a wonderful acting coach named Amy Lyndon out of Studio City. Every Monday evening, faithfully when I am not working I am there."
~ Cory Hardrict (Series Regular – Lincoln Heights/Gran Torino/Warm Bodies)
Amy's classes are ground breaking! Once I followed her 15 Guideline Technique, my breakthrough as an actor truly began. I owe so much to this woman.
~ Hosea Chanchez (Series Regular – The Game)
Seeing what you get out of your students in such a short time is amazing to watch. I am not just saying this, but your class and the environment you have created is the first I have found in LA to allow me to be free to just focus on the work and not feel nerves. I have audited quite a few!
~ Valmike Rampersad (Series Regular – Cloud Nine – England)
I attribute Kristin's current success because of all the confidence you instilled in her.
~ Gloria Herrera – Kristin Herrara’s Mom (Series Regular – Zoey 101/General Hospital)
I got a new manager, signed with Buchwald. Then, all in one month I booked a Toyota commercial, became SAG, got a Guest Star and booked a Series Regular. The show has been picked up for 13 episodes! I am finally making a living acting and I definitely could not have done it without your training. Thank you!
~ Jerad Anderson (Series Regular – Just For Kicks)
I just wanted to take a second to tell you that I admire what you are doing for these actors. You are definitely the most committed and involved acting coach I have ever seen. You are more than a coach; you are a mentor and a friend. Keep it up!
~ Scott Faucett, aTa Management – Personal Manager
Thank you so much for having me last night. I absolutely loved you your class. I will be definitely recommending you to our clients.
~ Matt Ilczuk, Royalty Rope, Inc. – Personal Manager
I continue to be your HUGE fan! Your energy and passion and knowledge is awesome! And, you care! If everyone giving classes in this business were as right on and passionate as you are, it would be a lot easier for actors to 'GET THE JOB" when they audition.
~ Cathy Henderson - Martin, CSA – Casting Director
Amy and her technique have taken my actors to a deeper level of acting and auditioning. She is also an asset to have in their corner because of her positive and real nature. She always says it as it is and pushes them to their full potential. I am grateful for all of her hard work and dedication to her actors.
~ Debra Manners – DMTA – Personal Manager
I love you and what you do in this business. Keep it up, mama. You are a true gem in this industry and these actors are SO lucky to have you.
~ Theo Caeser – 90210 Talent Agency – Talent Agent
I'm always interested in meeting Amy's students, because they always seem to be booking everything!
~ Ken Jacobson – Ken Jacobson Management – Personal Manager
Everyone that we have signed from Amy's classes are bookers! We love how well they are trained and how they "GET" how this business works! You've done your homework and your students testify to that fact. Thanks for the good work.
~ Judy Belshe-Toernblom – All American Rascals Talent Agency – Talent Agent
While researching acting coaches I discovered one of L.A.'s greatest jewels: Amy Lyndon. She is truly a wellspring of knowledge and enthusiasm. I love her "customized" method, as I too believe in the same teaching style. I could write a glowing novel on Amy Lyndon, but I will conclude by saying this: Amy Lyndon is the epitome of whole person teaching. Her clients' successes are the proof, but their love and respect for her while (and long after) working with her are the true testimony to her beautiful soul which shines brighter than any Hollywood lights!
~ Tracy Wright Dunivan – ShoKidz Entertainment – Producer (Houston, Texas)
Thank you so much for the referral - we have signed your client and feel we will be able to further his career so he can reach his acting goals. Your client was not in touch with the right representation, and we are going to change all of that for him and have him out there auditioning. I am so glad you referred him to us and will keep you posted on his success!
~ Karen Damico – Karma Talent Management – Personal Manager
We recently had Amy Lyndon as one of our special guest speakers at one of our events, and boy were we glad we did! She is like the Tasmanian devil of actor's proactively! She is funny, energetic, and most importantly highly skilled in showing actors how to get off the couch and go and make something happen for their careers!
~ ELITE Hollywood – Producer
On behalf of the Adult Division at Beal Talent and Associates, I want to thank you for the most talented people that you have referred to us. Keep the referrals coming and we will keep the Auditions coming.
~ Beal Talent and Associates – Talent Agency
One of the best acting coaches I most respect in this industry is Amy Lyndon. One thing I like about her class is not only she teaches you how to audition and book it, but she also tells you the reality on how the acting business works.
~ Oliver Carnay – iaTalent – Personal Manager
As a Talent Manager, there is nothing greater for me than hearing the joy of my clients when they book a job. Amy's 15 Guidelines are amazing! The booking ratio for my clients has increased by 90%.
~ Face' – 90210 Talent – Talent Agent
Amy Lyndon is without a doubt one of the most effective teachers out there. Her 15 Guideline Map To Booking Technique, should be like a front door key, never leave home without it, as it's the key to booking. Her work and reputation is widely appreciated by International actors that fly into LA to train with Amy. Many have booked and commented that they have seen a massive increase in their booking ratio since studying The Lyndon Technique.
~ Richard Burke - Industry Hollywood Producer
I had heard the name Amy Lyndon for years in actor circles and was so happy when I got an opportunity to co-teach with her (and other leaders in entertainment) at an industry event for actors. WOW, was she amazing. She has a vast knowledge of what it takes to make it in this business and has a fresh & fun way of delivering it to her fellow actors. I particularly connect with her no-nonsense approach to taking action. Having now read her book, I also highly recommend that for actors of all levels who want to get an edge on their auditions and their work. Amy is a true leader in the acting community.
~ Kari Nissena – Producer/Actress
I've been sending my clients to Amy Lyndon for years and see nothing but vast improvements in their booking stats. I believe in her technique so much, she's on my website.
~ Rod Baron - Baron Entertainment – Talent Agent
You are amazing! You have incredible knowledge and passion in the industry! You're not only an acting coach you practice what you teach and continue to book various spots! That in itself separates you from the rest. It was absolutely amazing that you brought your 15 Guideline Map To Booking Technique to Winnipeg! I look forward to your return.
~ Blair St. Germaine – Inspire Talent Agency (Canada) – Talent Agent
Amy is the actor's tool. She can take an actor's talent and help craft that talent from the foundation up.
~ Sharyn Berg – Sharyn Talent Management – Personal Manager
Amy Lyndon is a beacon of light and good humor in a dark times and is so right on with her pearls of wisdom to her students. Keeping a positive attitude, having a team of people who support and believe in you (even when you have stopped believing in yourself) and never giving up are the keys to making it in this business. If you have that and work on your craft several times a week so that you keep your edge and are always living up to your potential, you will eventually get where you need to go in the time you need to get there. Amy Lyndon is the kind of positive, supportive, business savvy teacher who inspires students, who have been fortunate enough to find her, to be their best.
~ Pat Cutler - Cutler Management – Personal Manager
Pardon my language but holy sh*t your book is amazing!!! I already listened to all your audio stuff... I am in agreement with all! This is all a great combo of my previous training in NYC and in LA. My fav rules are #3, 10, and 12. I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon all this.
Thank you for writing your book! I was reading the interview you did and saw your book and bought it right away. I literally just finished reading it. I couldn't put it down. I feel like this is like a secret weapon that I can't wait to use. I read sides everyday and now I have something to make my daily workout so much better. Thanks for this!
~ Wendy Lanuza
I just finished your book and applied the 15 guidelines for the first time in my last scene study class. I am in awe!!! My instructor’s feed back was "flawless" - she never says that!! For the first time I went through the entire scene feeling every moment. My scene partner was dropping lines, but it didn't throw me at all!! I am so excited to move forward with this technique!! I am so thankful I found you!!
~ Cherie Mendez
I love her ‘Straight to the point’ and ‘No messing around' teaching style. Her book is very informative and clever. She really brought out the talent inside everybody and the difference from Saturday to Sunday was extraordinary. I feel like a professional actor. :)
~ Brandon (Canada)
I wanted to let you know that since reading your book 2 weeks ago, I've landed a feature film role, a large commercial project (national), 2 print ads that entail live modeling and video promo within this week alone. Thanks again for your help!
~ Safia Jalila
Amy's technique is thorough. The 15 Guidelines is the best thing an actor can ever use to prepare for an audition. Through answering those questions the actor can really break apart thought patterns and emotional depth.
~ Tim Nhlazane
I got your book and I cannot tell you how MUCH IT HAS HELPED! My career has been taking off! Since May alone, I have booked 2 episodics, (Army Wives and Drop Dead Diva) as well as 2 SAG regional spots, and 3 nice non-union spots. My callbacks have tripled in one year!! I cannot say enough good things about how you helped me simplify things & get out of my head. Practice has become repetition and IT WORKS! Thank you so much."
~ Gregory Paul
I became aware of your book through Helen McCready's workshops in Orlando. I have been cast 3 out of my last 4 readings in soaps, and films being shot in Miami. Thank you for providing a detailed structure for the audition process in this business.
~ Tony Feijoo
I read your book and it really woke me up out of my bad habits. I just wasn't spending as much time with my copy. Reading your book gave me specific points to apply immediately. I have felt more confident since I applied your technique and have been booking steadily. But more importantly - it gave me confidence. PREPARATION PREPARATION PREPARATION PREPARATION.
~ Eric Satterberg
I'm officially a 15 Guidelines Groupie!!! Your book is a permanent fixture in my purse. You make acting so much fun for me. I am excited to get copy because I know what I'm doing.
~ China Brooks
Just wanted to tell you again how valuable I find your book. It has literally become my bible for auditions and has helped me immensely. Every audition that I get, I go through every step in the book; reviewing everything I've highlighted, to make sure that I haven't missed anything. Having your process to follow has definitely increased my confidence, which in turn has increased my bookings. It's the perfect complement to your class. Thanks Amy!!
~ Don R. Williams
Every time I print out sides, out comes your book and I go through all the steps. I've also listened to all of your lectures repeatedly over the years. It's pretty fair to say it's ingrained in me at this point and thank goodness.
~ Lynne-Marie Beard
After reading your book, I was called in to audition for Linda Lowy for a role on "Private Practice." So of course I used your technique to work the audition...and I'm happy to report that I booked the gig!! And even better, it's RECURRING!! Needless to say, I'm very excited. Thank you for putting your technique out in this handbook. It really helps in tackling auditions and booking the job! Continued blessings to you,
~ Rodney Hobbs
Thank you for the Lyndon Technique. I bought the book and now I'm hooked! On the Lyndon Technique. I joined TLTaccess.com and really put a spring in my step. Thank you for all you are doing for the acting and entertainment community around the world. I live in and work in Philadelphia and New York.
~ Freddie Ganno
A friend of mine tipped me off about you classes but unfortunately money has been a little tight so I decided in the mean time to get your book and start practicing at home. The first chance I got to use it in an actual audition setting I did, and I booked the job. I'm thrilled, it's my first co-starring role and it's on an amazing show "Parks and Recreation." Thank you for writing such a wonderful road map for other actors to utilize and I can't wait to take classes from you and hone your technique! Thank you.
~ Tara Jayn
Arriving from Tennessee for pilot season my 17 year old and I had ordered every acting book we could find. Among all the thick text like books was a thin small handbook called, "The Lyndon Technique". It was so thin we were sure we had been ripped off. After reading all the other books we proceeded onto your handbook and found a diamond in the rough. Of all the books yours is a gem with its down to earth step-by-step guide for booking the job. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in such a practical, understandable way. If only we had read this first!!
~ Shari Plattner – Lora Platter’s Mom (Recurring – The Neighbors)
So here's the thing. Before reading Amy Lyndon's 15 Guideline's my auditions were riddled with "choices" and ideas of how scenes should play. Sure I would book on occasion, but not nearly as frequently as I could have. Breaking down a script has never been easier and now if I have any questions I have my trusty sidekick to fall back on - especially on those nights before an audition where I used to just freak out and panic wondering what I was going to do. Because of this book I have all confidence that I will consistently be in that 1% that book. So, goodbye scene studies - hello booking.
~ Jacob Mireles
I wanted to let you know that I am so glad I stumbled upon your website and book. I don't quite recall how I got to it, but it has changed my life as an actor. Just in the little time I've had it, I've been able to blow away local casting director JoEdna Boldin at her casting workshop in New Mexico! Thank you for sharing your insight!
~ Roe Moore
Amy Lyndon's 15 Guideline technique book brings the same direct, no-nonsense, to the point coaching that I have grown to love in her class that has accelerated my acting career and growth. This book has been invaluable in that I can scrape the rust off at quantum speeds to be able to be at my best and continue to book. The writing and the technique itself is practical, logical, and by simply following her directions the character emerges organically. Quite honestly, this is the ONLY book you need to quickly FIND the character, BE the character, and GET the part.
~ Ralph Quovardis
Amy, you hit the nail right on the head! FINALLY a book to teach me the reality of acting. I feel more confident than ever after reading your technique! Who would have thought breaking down scenes could offer so much information! I no longer need to pretend or make up a backstory or worry about losing focus during an audition. Thanks for all the wonderful insight!
~ Stefani Gianni
So, I read the book last night and thought it was very concise and clear. The great thing about your technique is that it makes perfect sense therefore is easy to apply. I think back to all the many books I've read that are quadruple the length of yours and think...how gullible was I? Like... go in the audition and make a bold choice...it may be wrong but they'll respect you and all that BS!! Anyway, Amy you know how I feel about you and I think your book is a brilliant translation of your technique.
~ Daisy Faith
Your book and technique have CHANGED MY AUDITIONS A MILLION FOLD. Prior to learning your 15 steps booking was like pushing a hotel up a hill!!! BUT THANKS TO YOU...MIRACLES are happening!!! Now I'm home freeeee!!!! So thank you thank you thank you!!! God Bless!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxo
~ Kelley Whilden
Amy Lyndon’s 15 Guideline Map To Booking Handbook is a blessing to all actors out there. What Amy Lyndon’s technique has taught me is incomparable to any other. It is about booking the job, thing is if we have already moved to LA or anywhere for that matter to pursue our dream as an actor we already have the ability to act! This handbook gives you a step-by-step practical approach to breaking down sides for an audition - the rest is up to you. It gives you the confidence and knowledge to know what the writer and casting director is looking for. Without Amy in my life my focus as an actor would be totally blinkered, I carry this book with me everywhere, as you never know when you are going to need it. I recommend this handbook for all actors that wish to ‘book the job.’
~ Met Salih
I have had a chance to review your book The 15 Guideline Map To Booking Handbook and think it is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! I got so much from reading it and think it is an awesome tool for all serious actors who are interested in mastering the audition so that they can move into the careers that they desire. I will be using this resource in my own auditions and plan to purchase a couple of copies for friends.
~ A'da Woolfolk
I really feel my acting changing right in front of my eyes! Your book has helped a great deal. What I love about your book and the results I’m getting are from Guidelines 3 & 4. Opening emotion at the top and mapping out my emotions in the scene has really taken my head out of the dialogue and put the real me into the scene. I feel more playful with whatever comes my way.
~ Michael Swiney
Read your book it was an eye opener. I see why I made mistakes at my auditions.
~ Michael Wilson
Amy, I have read your 15 Guidelines to Booking Handbook at least five times already!!! I love that it's succinct and to the point. (Not to mention verrrry logical!!!) There are so many acting books out there that are a boring, dry read. NOT YOURS!!! Your technique helped me literally start my Acting career. Reading your book just re-inspired and re-invigorated everything for me and was a breath of fresh air. I am so glad you finally wrote it! Even more so, thank God for the Lyndon Technique!! You rock, girlfriend!!!
~ Michelle Tomlinson
OUT OF THE COUNTRY/IN LA SEMINARS
I learnt more from you in one day than what I did at university and I thank you for it.
Sam (Industry Hollywood – England)
I was telling my friends about your technique and how I swear by it. I've booked everything I've auditioned for in the last 10 months thanks to your technique. You're some kind of genius. Thank you!
~ Desiree Crossing (Australia)
I’m a UK based actress and I was on the Industry Hollywood networking week. I have to tell you that your technique really works! Last week I booked my first ever commercial. Although I have been a professional actress for some time, I have never been able to book commercials. I used your technique from Point 1 right the way through to Point 15 and it transformed how I auditioned. Thanks Amy, you are brilliant!
~ Nicola Gardner (England)
I now feel ready to handle all kinds of personalities in the competitive markets. Her technique is remarkable! I know with lots of practice and hard work, I can get master it and then go and GET my role. Thanks for bringing her to E-town! & I hope to see her soon in L.A.
~ Sandra Joseph (Canada)
I was in the group of SU Drama majors that visited L.A. for Aaron Sorkin Week. All the things you said, I think I've heard before at some point in my training, but then there are always people who tell you or persuade you that it's the wrong way of working. I was so glad to be reminded that other people believe the theories about acting that I do, and to be presented with a practical application that organizes it all into immediate and specific work. I could go into everything I specifically loved, but you know, you teach it! So thank you again - it was such breath of yummy fresh air, and one of the most valuable master classes I've ever taken.
~ Kristin Morris (Syracuse University – Aaron Sorkin Week)
I just wanted to wish you a Happy Holiday Season from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Your encouragement reaches far, and you should know that it is seen as just that... encouragement. Not false hope of great success, but a consistent push for us all to put in the effort required to see the results wished for. It is too easy to get discouraged, by the industry, by our friends and family, and even by ourselves. Thank you for helping to counter the negativity.
~ Karen Reigh (Canada)
I hope your flight back to LA-la-land was great! Thank you so much for coming to Canada, and sharing all of your insight and wisdom with us. I have never learned so much in one class. Thank you for pushing me to see the forest for the trees! You are amazing!!!! I am so excited about my career!!!!
~ Layna Mulligan (Canada)
I'm back home in London and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your Business of Acting and Cold Reading Classes. You've truly helped me see auditions in a whole new light and I can't wait to test the technique. Thanks ever so much for your time, hospitality and the wonderful note you wrote me in your book (which will forever be in my handbag!)
~ Hayat Kamille (England)
Hey Amy! I walked away with more tools both as an artist and as a businessperson. These new, very practical tools have given me the ability to fully commit to making this path a reality. So this summer I will look into green card laws and learn the Standardized American accent, so that in the autumn I can take that leap to LA. Thank you so much for the experience. You are amazing!
~ Liana Shannon (England)
Hey Amy, thank-you for coming up to Edmonton/Calgary for the TLT workshop, it was a fun and informative weekend. During the workshop I feel that I learned valuable techniques to help me BOOK, and I appreciated your honesty and urgency with us. It was a good reminder for me to always be giving it 150%, and to keep my head in the game.
~ Brooke (Canada)
Thanks again for bringing Amy in! That was like 5 years of info in a weekend. I did feel somewhat overwhelmed and at a loss for where to start but when I felt my own personal growth in that short time, the overwhelming-ness drifted away.
~ Nora (Canada)
I was recently a part of Syracuse's Sorkin Week in LA. I wanted to say thank you so much for the workshop! You gave us some excellent advice on how to market ourselves. Starting my career as an actress in New York City seemed like the obvious choice to me before Sorkin Week, but after meeting with Syracuse Alumni, like yourself, that are happy and successful working in the business in LA, my eyes have been opened to the opportunities Los Angeles has to offer.
~ Caitlin Westfall (Syracuse University – Aaron Sorkin Week)
I was so energized immediately after by your strong and amazing personality that I wanted to let it all sink in and decide if it was really as great as I thought or it was all a bit of Hollywood razzle dazzle. Two weeks later I can say that I still hear your voice in my head urging me on. I now am looking forward to my next big audition instead of dreading it and last night instead of feeling awkward and staying at home.
~ Peter Rumpel (Canada)
I learned a lot from the seminar and it has given me a new perspective when approaching an audition. I just wanted to let you know that on Day 1 of the workshop I went on an audition right after it. I was thinking about everything you told me, and guess what? I got the role!
~ Sambath San (Canada)
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for taking the time to meet with all of us Syracuse University students! The process you have developed is so clear and concise and easy to understand! Your workshop was a stepping-stone in this process and I am truly grateful for it!
~ Sarah Olbrantz (Syracuse University – Aaron Sorkin Week)
Thank you for your courage in not only relating your experience, but in encouraging me to take the leap of faith that is so necessary, albeit terrifying, for my joy.
~ Tia Ginet (Canada)
Just wanted to shoot you an email and say enormously big thanks for your honest and invaluable workshop. Your technique was one of the highlights of the trip, and I more than look forward to coming back for brush up classes!
~ Adam Hunter (Australia)
I just wanted to tell you: thank you so much for your advice at the workshop last weekend. Throughout the past week a lot of it has really sunk in. I also wanted to tell you that it wasn't just your words of advice at the workshop that moved me, listening to you talk about the business helped to cement the "LA world" into my mind as a real place. It's so important to hear that you can make it in LA, even if you are in Calgary starting out. So, thank you so much for being such an inspiration.
~ Alison Murray (Canada)
I just had to write and thank you for such an inspiring and exciting class with you and Richard Burke's International group last week. I bought your book at the beginning of the week and started using the techniques during it - it was so helpful and gave me a way in to all the different scripts we worked with in such a short space of time.
~ Sarah Flower (England)
Thanks again Peter for getting Amy up here for us, and for all the work you put into the weekend. It was so helpful. And please thank Amy for kicking our butts (ha ha ha)! Seriously though, I did learn a lot from her workshop. She was "tough" on us, without being mean, and I really appreciate the way she pushed us to go deeper and further and take bigger risks. It was definitely something I needed to hear for sure! Now I'm looking forward to putting it to use!
~ Shannon (Canada)
I have to tell you it was such a pleasure meeting you this weekend. You are a confident, beautiful, incredibly intelligent woman, with an angelic beautiful soul. Your energy is unbelievably clean, fun, and intoxicating. Your ability to unconditionally share yourself and your journey is breathtaking. You have a special gift in reading people, understanding the human condition, and truly unconditionally loving people. You absolutely shine!! I just wanted you to know how you have enhanced and enriched my life through this weekend journey.

The workshop with Amy was great. I was exhausted, but by the end I was a whole lot smarter. Amy was tough and that is exactly what I need at this point in my training. The mock audition and the feedback that followed on Sunday afternoon were especially helpful because it became very clear what I have to do work on.

Amy, I would like to thank you on behalf of my son Shawn Seward for the most "awesome" workshop ever!

Amy, thank you so much for taking out the time to workshop with us seniors during Aaron Sorkin Week. I found your technique practical, smart, and incredibly useful! Your technique has helped me understand the booking jobs process better and I am certain with some more practice controlling my nerves, the technique is infallible.

Like a prizefight referee you're firm but fair; like Santa you lavish your gifts of experience and insight on the students; like a scholar you meticulously lay out your profoundly effective method; and like a Jewish mom you're like a Jewish mom. Best of all, Amy, you're truly inspiring. Not a student left your class without that precious gift. Moreover, you're inspiring while still accurately explaining the Biz and how difficult it can be to succeed. You're like a tightrope walker in that respect. You're big-hearted, funny and cool.
